Dress Code


 


DRESS CODE FOR ALL PONY CLUB ACTIVITIES

 

Please note that the following is correct form of dress when attending any rally, or event organised by any Pony Club.

RIDER

 

HAT to comply with the following PAS 015:1998 with BSI kitemark or SED EN1384. With the chinstrap done up at all times.

If you buy a new hat please check with the saddlers that it is Pony Club approved!

 

Plain black or navy hat silks (no bright colours other than for XC competitions when you may compete in your colours). 

Pony Club tie to be worn by all unless 18yrs and over when you can wear a dark blue tie.

Pony Club sweatshirt or hacking jacket (XC colours may be worn at competitions).

Pony Club badge with appropriate test felt.

Medical armband for XC rallies and competitions.

Body Protectors must be worn at any XC event or rally (also recommended for show jumping).

Shirts - plain colour only white or blue.

Jodhpurs - plain colours may be worn at rallies and camp with no patterns BUT plain cream at all competitions.

Footwear - jodhpur boots or footwear with a defined heel and flat soles, black or brown.

Half chaps- may be worn but must be the colour of the boots worn black or brown.

 

Please note that all jewellery including sleeper earrings are not to be worn. Wrist watches and stock pins are allowed.

 

Long hair must either tied neatly back or in a hairnet.

 

PONY

 

Healthy, clean and well groomed (very old and very young ponies are not allowed).

Well shod.

Well fitting, clean tack in good condition (regularly check your stitching on stirrup leathers, etc).

Numnah -  black, brown, navy or white with NO other colour on it including the piping!

Girths - Black, Brown, Navy or White.
