MEMBERS PERSONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE

12 months at 01 July 2004

INTEREST:

Personal Liability Insurance (liability at law to pay damages for accidental bodily injury to a third party or accidental loss of or damage to third party property) in respect of the Member's use and/or ownership and/or control of a horse/pony and direct participation by the Member in other horse/pony related activities.
 

LIMIT OF INDEMNITY:

£2,000,000 plus costs and expenses any one claim, unlimited in the period of insurance.

N.B. The Limit of Indemnity is increased to £30,000,000 any one occurrence by excess of loss policies with Inter 1-lannover and Ace Europe, which follow the terms, exceptions and conditions outlined herein.
 

SITUATION:

Worldwide
 

COVER INCLUDES:

Member-to-Member liability.
Anyone riding a Member's pony with the Member's permission, unless the rider has their own insurance.
Indemnity to the parent / guardian if legally liable for an accident caused by their child.
Indemnity to any groom whilst working for the Member.
 

MAIN EXCLUSIONS:

Injury to family / household members or damage to their property.
Injury to an employee.
Loss of or damage to property in the care, custody or control of the member.
Racing (except authorised racing under the Pony Club's UK Pony Racing Series), Point to Point or Steeplechasing.
Business activities.
Use for hire or reward.
 
EXCESS: £1,000 Third Party Property Damage excess each and every claim (this is funded by The Pony Club)
 

CLAIMS:

All claims or potential claims to be notified immediately to British Equestrian Insurance Brokers, Hildenbrook House, The Slade, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 1HR, Tel: 01732 771719

No liability shall be admitted to a third party or any offer of payment made
