There was a huge turnout for this competition and we had 9 QPC teams entered:

Class 1 - We had 2 teams entered. Quantock Yellow (Jade Coles, Ryan Duddridge, Laura Kyd and Daisy Williams) finished on 4 faults. Quantock Blue (Patrick Daniel, Emma Perry, Abi Porter and Harriet Trollope-Bellew) finished on 0 and won team 3rd with Abi coming 2nd individually. Abi, Emma, Harriet, Laura, Patrick and Ryan all jumped double clears.

Class 2 - We had 3 teams in this class out of 17 teams entered. Quantock Red (Henry Coate, Cressida Cox, Kitty Monks and Emma Perry) finished 9n 0 with Emma and Henry jumping double clears. Quantock Orange (Cressida Cox, Ryan Duddridge, Kaite Gibbs and Emma Trollope-Bellew) finished on 0 with Cressida and Emma jumping double clears. Quantock Green (Tilly Barker, Amelia Daniel, Jess Mortimer and Abi Porter) finished on 0 with Amelia and Jess jumping double clears. Eleanor Daniel rode a double clear as an individual HC. All three teams were unplaced but did well to all finish on a 0 score.

Class 3 - We had 3 teams in this class out of 22 teams entered. Quantock Pink (Sam Gray, Jess Mortimer, Abi Porter and Emma Trollope-Bellew) finished on 0 with Abi, Jess and Sam all riding double clears. Quantock White (Henry Coate, Cressida Cox, Charlotte Perry and Emma Trollope-Bellew) finished on 0 with Charlotte and Henry both riding double clears. All three teams were unplaced but did well to all finish on a 0 score.

Class 4 (Dengie) - We only had 1 Quantock member (Fiona Pascall) left in this class of 62 entries. It was so late that all the other Quantock members had decided not to stay. Fiona rode Echo and Muppet (HC) and was placed 4th on Muppet. Well done!

Class 5 - Josie Moore and Fiona Pascall joined other individual members from other Pony Clubs to make a team and won this class. Well done.
Well done to all members who took part in this competition. You should all be very proud of yourselves.

Syston PC Team Show Jumping at The Hand on 26 November 2006

We had 7 teams entered for this competition.

Class 1 -10 years and under -1 '9"
Ran under normal rules, there were 23 teams in total. Quantock Green (Harriet Bloxham, Kerry Bloxham, Jade Coles and Chris Roberts) were ih to jump and Quantock Blue (Patrick Daniel, Ryan Duddridge, Harriet Trollope-Bellew and Daisy Williams) were 13th to jump. Chris, Harriet, Jade, Patrick and Ryan all rode double clears but both teams were unplaced in this very competitive class. Well done to all, especially the young members having their first try.

Class 2 - 12 years and under - 2'3"
Ran under Table A5 rules (two phase), there were 26 teams in total. Quantock Yellow (Ryan Duddridge, Kitty Monks, Harriet Trollope-Bellew and Daisy Williams) were 6th to jump and finished on 12 faults. Kitty rode a double clear but the team were unplaced. Quantock Pink (Tilly Barker, Henry Coate, Alex Galbraith and Emma Perry) finished on 4 faults, were unplaced, but Emma and Tilly both rode double clears.

Class 3 -14 years and under - 2'6"
Ran under Table A5 rules again in order to make up time as the competition was, as this point, running 2 hours behind and had 20 teams in total. Quantock Red (Henry Coate, Charlotte Perry, Abi Porter and Emma Trollope-Bellew) were 1 st to jump, finished on 16 faults and were unplaced.

Class 4 - open - 2 '9"
Ran under Table A5 rules and was now running 3 hours late with 18 teams entered. Quantock Orange (Henry Coate, Bobbi Larcombe, Fiona Pascall and Abi Porter) were 6th to jump and finished on 12 faults and were unplaced after Henry had to retire after knocking a tooth out while jumping the 2nd part of the double. Fortunately, it was a first tooth and he recovered quickly. Fiona also rode Echo with the Wylye Valley team.

Class 5 - open - 3'0"
Ran under Table A5 rules and was due to start at 6.10pm but started 4 hours late with 8 teams in total. Quantock Purple (Bobbi Larcombe, Fiona Pascall and Nicola Perry) were the only team of 3 and were 4th to jump, finishing on an unfortunate 4 faults. Bobbi and Nicola both rode double clears. The team was 1 st and Nicola was 5th individually. All 3 girls received trophies. Fiona also rode Echo in a team with the LIangibby, the team finishing 3rd.

Many thanks and well done to all those who took part in another very, very long day.

Prince Philip Cup Christmas Party Cannington

Lots of fun was had by all at the Christmas party and everyone looked great in their Christmas fancy dress. Danny and Libby organized some challenging and fun games which involved some parents joining in with the dressing up (have a look at the website for some photos)!

Many thanks to Danny and Libby for all their hard work. They made a double trip from home to bring enough ponies and also supplied all the prizes.
