Syston Pony Club Team Show Jumping at The Hand 26th November 2006
We had 7 teams entered for this competition. Class 1 10 yrs & under 1’9” Ran under normal rules and attracted 23 teams in total .Quantock Green (Kerry Bloxham, Jade Coles, Harriet Bloxham & Chris Roberts) were 7th to jump and Quantock Blue (Harriet T-B, Daisy Williams, Patrick Daniel & Ryan Dudridge) were 13th to jump. Jade, Chris, Harriet T-B, Patrick & Ryan all rode double clears both teams were unplaced in this very competitive class, but well done to all especially the young members having their first try. Class 2 12 yrs & under 2’3” Ran under A5 rules (two phase) and had 26 teams entered... Quantock Yellow (Ryan Dudridge, Kitty Monks, Harriet T-B & Daisy Williams) were 6th to jump and finished on 12 faults unplaced with Kitty riding double clear. Quantock Pink (Tilly Barker, Alex Galbraith, Emma Perry & Henry Coate) Finished on 4 faults and unplaced with Tilly & Emma both riding double clears. Class 3 14 yrs & under 2’6” Ran under Table A5 rules again trying to make up time as we were now running 2 hours behind had 20 teams entered. Quantock Red (Emma T-B, Abbi Porter, Charlotte Perry & Henry Coate were 1st to jump and finished on 16 faults and were unplaced. Class 4 2’9” Open Ran under table A5 Rules and we are now running 3 hours late had 18 teams entered. Quantock Orange (Henry Coate, Bobbi Larcombe, Abbi Porter & Fiona Pascal) were 6th to jump and finished on 12 faults and unplaced after Henry had to retire as he had knocked a tooth out while jumping the 2nd part of the double.Fortunatley it was a baby tooth and he recovered quite quickly. Fiona also rode Echo with the Wylye Valley team. Class 5 3’0” Open Run under table A5 rules was due to start at 6 10 in the evening but started 4 hours late with 8 teams entered. Quantock Purple who were only a team of 3 (Nicola Perry, Bobbi Larcombe & Fiona Pascal were 4th to jump, came 1st finishing on an unfortunate 4 faults. Nicola and Bobbie both rode double clears and Nicola was placed 5th individual. All 3 girls received trophies. Fiona also rode Echo in a team with the Llangibby and gained team 3rd. Many thanks and well done to all those who took part in another very very long day.
