à PLEASE NOTE. Competitors in classes 3 and 4 not to have competed at Senior Tetrathlon Championships or U.K. Regionals and horses not to be currently competing at B.E. Novice level or FEI Pony Trials.
à Cross Country. The Novice Junior class will be run over the Minimus course – 2’6”. The Minis will be run over a small course 1’6”/2” à Would team managers please ensure that competitors are only entered in the Novice Junior class if they really need to be. à Entrants for classes 1 to 7 will be required to provide their own B.E. bibs.
· Rosettes to 8th place for individuals. 6th place for teams. · The event will be run under Pony Club Tetrathlon rules 2008. · Team trainers please ensure that all rules regarding the shooting phase, in particularly those to do with age, handling pistols and dress, are strictly adhered to. · Team trainers are asked to ensure that competitors do not bring muddy shoes/boots into Dragon Leisure Centre.

DIRECTIONS TO PENDAVEY EQUESTRIAN CENTRE A30 Launceston – Bodmin Take the Bodmin exit off the A30. At T junction turn right, at mini roundabout go right (2nd turn off sign posted Wadebridge) Next mini roundabout go right sign posted Wadebridge A389. Follow this road for approx 5 miles. Take 2nd left as you go through Washaway sign posted Pendavey 1 ¾ miles. A30 Redruth – Wadebridge Follow signs for Wadebridge – Royal Cornwall Showground on right. At roundabout take 2nd exit sign posted Bodmin. Turn right at Sladesbridge House pub. Pendavey at very top of hill.
DIRECTIONS TO DRAGON LEISURE CENTRE from Pendavey Go back onto A389 and follow signs to Bodmin. Straight over mini roundabout and take 2nd exit at next roundabout. Over narrow bridge, at T junction go right and straight over mini roundabout. Take 2nd exit off next roundabout to Dragon.
DIRECTIONS TO PORTH VALLEY A30 Launceston - Bodmin Turn off A30 at Victoria/Roche B3274. At roundabout take 2nd exit Newquay B3059. Continue on this road for approx 3 miles, then take a right sign posted RAF St Mawgan, then 1st left. Porth Valley approx ½ mile on right. A30 Redruth Turn off A30 at Wadebridge A39. Continue following signs Wadebridge. At 2nd roundabout take 1st exit B3059 Newquay. Continue on this road for approx 3 miles, then take a right sign posted RAF St Mawgan, then 1st left. Porth Valley approx ½ mile on right.

Class 1and 2 will ride a Max.3’7” (110cm) course Class 3and 4 will ride a Max 3’3” (100cm) course Class 5and 6 will ride a Max 3’ (91cm) course Class 7and 8 will ride a Max 2’6” (76cm) course
Medical Armbands must be worn for the Riding Phase for all classes, and hats must be tagged
This Competition will run to the rules of the 2008 Tetrathlon Rule Book. Please note the Qualifications for Intermediate Competitors and their horses
TEAMS: Teams of 3-4 (3 to count) may be entered in each class
Classes 5, 6,7& 8 This is the Junior/Mini Area competition for Area 14. Fence JudgesEach Branch entering is asked to nominate 2 Adults to act as Fence Judges during the Riding Phase on Sunday. Please submit names on attached form and send them with the entry form.

Directions to Truro School
From the A30 or from St Austell - approaching Truro either on the A3076 (off the A30) or on the A39 from St Austell, follow the A 39 down Tregolls Road to the first roundabout (Trafalgar roundabout) Take the first left off the roundabout - St Clement’s Hill - with the Police Station on the left. If coming through Truro from the West on the A39 go straight over the Tesco roundabout and take the right hand turning off the next roundabout (Trafalgar roundabout) - St Clement’s Hill. From Trafalgar Roundabout go up St Clement’s Hill and take the first turning on the right (Trennick Lane ) which leads to Truro School. Parking will be signposted.

Travelling from North: Go past windmills at Carland Cross on the A30 travelling towards Redruth. After about 2 miles at Zelah by-pass turn left(sign posted Shortlanesend / Goonhavern).At T junction turn left. At X roads go straight across (sign posted Goonhavern).At next X roads turn left.At next T junction turn left. At next T junction turn left. After3/10ths of mile entrance is on right hand side. Travelling form South : Go past ‘Town and Country Garage’ on A30, after about 1 mile take the first left turn at Marazanvose entrance will be on your right hand side.

Rules: To be run according to Pony Club Tetrathlon Rules 2008
Class 1 & 2: Shoot: 7m both hands, Swim: 2 minutes, Run: 1000m Ride: 9 & Under: Level 1 (Approx 60cms) Minis: Level 2 (Approx 75cms)
Class 3 & 4: Shoot: 7m one hand, Swim: 3 minutes, Run: 1500m Ride: Level 2/3 (Approx 90cms)
Competitors can opt to ride a lower level course but will incur a penalty of 400 points. 9 & Unders can opt to ride the level 2 course if they wish. Please let the secretary know on the day.
Awards The first six individuals in each class The first four teams in each class1st, 2nd and 3rd shoot, swim and run in mini class 1st shoot, swim and run in junior class Clear round riding Additional rosettes for highest placed 9 years and under (on 01/01/08) in classes 1 & 2 combined.
